Did I do this right? It was an auction. Luck was the spendiest acquisition. Anyone else in a league?

Luck is over priced imo. Much better bang for your buck later in the draft.

Not bad. I really like the Amari Cooper and Allen Robinson picks. You’re going to want another running back because Tre Mason is not only banged up, but he will soon be replaced by Todd Gurley. Taliaferro is a weak bench RB and Hill could easily lose some playing time to Gio Bernard if he doesn't perform well. Keep an eye on the waivers or maybe trade some of your WR depth. Some combo of Kaep/Colston/Wright could land you a decent RB2 if someone is in need.

Yeah, I blew a quarter of my budget on him. First time I’ve ever tried this FF thing. Thus the tag, I guess.

Your team actually looks pretty good, a good mix of consistent studs (Luck, Dez, and Jeremy Hill) with a lot of upside in your WR’s (Robinson and Cooper are two young guys who could have really big years and Maclin should be a stud if Alex Smith can get him the ball). Depending on how they do you could trade one or two of your WR’s for a better RB2 later in the year since Mason probably won’t keep his starting job for too long once Todd Gurley comes back.

Here’s my team in our 10-person league:

I ended up picking sixth so a lot of the guys I wanted kept getting taken thanks to the snake draft format but overall I’m happy with my team.

Do you think I should go without a net for Luck? No backup? I picked up Kaepernick because I was paranoid about not having a decent backup and he only cost $1. I WAY OVERPAID for Bryant because I wasn’t watching close enough and someone snuck in a $20 bid when the rest of us were bidding up by just $1. Learned a $41 lesson there.

I'm not as familiar with auction drafts, but that's a steal for Kaepernick because their defense is going to suck, so he might actually have a good fantasy year. Who knows? Maybe he does well in the first couple weeks and his value skyrockets for you to trade. How many people are in the league? There may be free agent QBs if you did end up trading Kaep away. Guys like Tyrod Taylor, who will get you points because he rushes the ball, could be a good pick up (unless he gets benched). I wouldn't worry too much about losing Luck, though. He's a man child with a 'squatch beard. It's unlikely that he gets hurt (knock on wood).

Auction draft we did had a $200 budget to fill the roster. Ours is a ten-team league, BTW.

Solid starting team for an auction league. Your bench is fairly shitty though. I’d look heavily into the waiver wire for depth at RB and a better 2nd TE.

Ertz is more of a blocker and Taliaferro is gonna be hugely dependent on Forsett being crap (and Forsett I do not believe will disappoint). And Mason is hurt now. Who else is available?

With Kelvin Benjamin out, I think Robinson may be worth a start ahead of Cooper, because frankly, can you risk Cooper being a big target for the unreliable Derek Carr?

Yeah there are definitely going to be some good QBs left. I’d see what happens for the first couple weeks, keeping an eye on the Mason/Gurley situation, and move some players if it doesn’t work out in your advantage.
